Our sunscreens are fairly thick, but soak into the skin well and are similar in consistency to Banana Boat Simply Protect and Sun Bum’s SPF50 Mineral Sunscreen. We also have products with added ingredients to help fight acne, and are non-comedogenic (say goodbye to the dreaded sunscreen breakouts).

Numerous studies reviewed by Suzuki et al. (2005) have raised concerns about the potential adverse health effects caused by chemical UV filters. FDA Position: The FDA sunscreen safety review, published 24/09/2021, has confirmed Zinc Oxide to be the only broad-spectrum UV Filter considered safe and effective, whilst the 12 UV Filters below have been identified as potentially toxic and/or carcinogenic. These chemical also tend to be irritating to sensitive skin, which is why all of our products are hypoallergenic and perfect for delicate skin, even for kids and babies! Our sunscreens are all at least SPF50, tested to FDA/TGA requirements. "SPF" stands for Sun Protection Factor. It is a measure of how well a sunscreen will protect skin from UVB rays, the kind of radiation that causes sunburn, damages skin, and can contribute to skin cancer. SPF ratings are determined by the time it takes for UV-exposed skin to redden; if a sunscreen has an SPF of 50, for instance, this means you could be exposed to UVB rays for 50 times longer than without protection before sunburn begins. Our sunscreen offers up to 40 minutes of water resistance, ideal for activities involving water or sweat. However, it's crucial to reapply immediately after swimming, sweating heavily, or towel drying. Even if you are not in the water or sweating, we recommend reapplying sunscreen every 2hours to maintain optimal skin protection.
